Aeroflot June Passengers Up

Aeroflot carried 1.1 million passengers in June, a 39 percent increase from a year earlier, as the economy picked up, the airline said Friday.

The load factor, or percentage of seats occupied, rose to 78.9 percent, 8.2 percentage points higher than in June last year, the company said.

First-half passenger numbers rose 32 percent to 5.1 million, while the load factor increased by 11.5 percentage points to 75 percent, compared with a year earlier, Aeroflot said.
