The United States raised its record Thursday to 2-0, as did Cuba following a 7-1 victory over Colombia behind a two-run homer by Omar Linares.
Later in the evening, Puerto Rico obtained its first victory in the series when it beat Sweden 10-2. South Korea posted its second victory of the series, beating Canada 4-3.
