Gazprom Export employees could soon be spending their downtime at work in style, after it was reported that the company's new St. Petersburg offices are to include a spa, swimming pool and hockey hall of fame.
The company's new home in the northern capital is a central, seven-floor boutique hotel, which is being converted into Class A office space before the move, Interfax reported.
But Gazprom Export executives are not rushing to replace all the hotel's added comforts.
The fourth-floor spa and swimming pool formerly used by hotel guests, for instance, will remain, and a hall full of hockey memorabilia will take up the first floor, the news agency said.
Observers have even speculated that Gazprom Export's move to St. Petersburg, which the company has justified by its desire to make the city an export hub for gas to Europe, can be explained by executives' love for hockey.
The company sponsors local club SKA St. Petersburg, and the office move will bring the two closer together.
