Russia Powers to Finals

DORTMUND, Germany () -- Russia has led six teams into the finals at the World Team Championships, proving that its days as a men's gymnastic power are not over.


Russia, relying on just one 1992 Olympic gold medalist, bounced back from a fourth-place finish in Tuesday's compulsories to capture Thursday's optionals.


With a combined score of 560.034 points, the Russians bumped surprised Germany into second place overall at 557.986.
