Moscow Temperatures Could Break 100 Year Record 2 Days Running

Moscow could break heat records for the second straight day Thursday, as the thermometer inches up?  from a previous high.

Temperatures in the city reached 29.2 C Wednesday, making the hottest May 21 since 1897, when meteorologists recorded 29.1 C, a Moscow weather bureau spokesman said, Interfax reported.

The hottest May 22 was also recorded in 1897, when temperatures reached 30.5 C, but that record could be broken Thursday, the weather service said.?
