Digital Sky Merges Assets

Internet investment group Digital Sky Technologies on Tuesday announced the merger of its stakes in Mail.ru and game developer Astrum Online.

The transaction is structured as an acquisition of Astrum Online shares by Mail.ru, paid for by a combination of Mail.ru shares and cash. The new company will operate under the Mail.ru brand.

Dmitry Grishin, CEO of Mail.ru, said the two companies would deeply integrate their platforms in order to widen the audience base of massively multiplayer online games.
