BRUSSELS — World powers asked Iran to hold a new round of talks in February over its nuclear work, and they expressed disappointment over Tehran's reluctance to schedule negotiations.
A spokesman for EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said Monday that Iran had not agreed to her proposal — issued on behalf of the United States, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany — to meet at the end of January.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday that global powers and Iran should "stop behaving like little children" and set a date and a place for the talks.
"We believe the essence of our talks is far more important [than the site], and we hope that common sense will prevail and that we will stop behaving like little children," Lavrov said.
