6th World Folkloriada Kicks Off in Russia's Bashkortostan
The 6th CIOFF World Folkloriada (Folklore Festival) is well underway in Russia’s republic of Bashkortostan.
World Folkloriada is an international event organized every four years by the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF), an official partner of UNESCO.
This year, 2,000 performers from more than 60 countries are expected to descend upon the Bashkortostan capital of Ufa for a multi-day series of events across the republic.
