Life feels almost normal again in Moscow after Corona
From today onwards its finally allowed in Moscow to eat in restaurants again. Still with some restrictions, because the restaurants are only allowed to open their terraces for the time being, but with this great summer weather it is anyway best to sit outside.
Moscow is packed with terraces, but we only share our favorites in this list. Some have a lovely water view, some are in a quiet courtyard and some are on a lively street, but they all have a great setting and vibe.
If you're looking to have a relaxed dinner in a quiet nature setting, Prichal is the place to be. Only 30 minutes drive from the city you find this picturesque place on the river and across and among trees. The food is good, not outstanding, but try their fish, sushi, the mangal roasts and fish soup.
All in all a great "city escape" only 30 minutes drive from Moscow.
This is a small Asian restaurant with delicious food, hidden in a courtyard on Red October. The terrace is small but really cozy, a bit quiet for a Saturday night, but perfect if you want to go afterwards to one of the bars or nightclubs nearby.
We like Remy a lot, especially in summer times, when you can sit outside and watch the hustle and bussle of Malaya Bronnaya street. The food is delicious, sometimes the service is rather slow, but overall a great restaurant to enjoy.
The location is brilliant for people watching, which is never boring on this street! The food is delicate and nice and it has a great view on Patriarchy's Pond and this vibrant street.
You wouldn't expect such a green gem on a corner of Tverskaya Ulitsa. But the terrace of "My fish" is a great place where you can enjoy very fresh seafood and good service. They also have a location on Tsvetnoy Bulvar. Perfect place for lunch.
Probka is one of the most popular and best Italian restaurants in town. Enjoy their fresh and high quality pasta, pizza, risotto and seafood on the lively terrace on Tsvetnoy Bulvar.
The perfect terrace for ceviche and tartare lovers. Overlooking the river and with a bustling city vibe, this terrace is a guarantee for a great night out. Go for after dinner drinks to the next door wine bar with relaxed terrace & DJ music.
Located in the most expensive alley of Moscow this is not a very low key place. But very tasty, cozy and calm. Fresh seafood, but do have a look at the prices as they can vary a lot! Perfect for a romantic dinner.
This terrace on the water has a unique setting with a great view on Christ the Savior church. The late night vibe in their courtyard is great with music and dancing, movie nights and other events.
The quality of the food is very high and it's quite affordable. We had bad luck with the service though, but give them the benefit of the doubt. Inside it's pretty sterile, but the terrace is on a great spot in Teatralnya. Sunny & lively!

A Message from The Moscow Times:
Dear readers,
We are facing unprecedented challenges. Russia's Prosecutor General's Office has designated The Moscow Times as an "undesirable" organization, criminalizing our work and putting our staff at risk of prosecution. This follows our earlier unjust labeling as a "foreign agent."
These actions are direct attempts to silence independent journalism in Russia. The authorities claim our work "discredits the decisions of the Russian leadership." We see things differently: we strive to provide accurate, unbiased reporting on Russia.
We, the journalists of The Moscow Times, refuse to be silenced. But to continue our work, we need your help.
Your support, no matter how small, makes a world of difference. If you can, please support us monthly starting from just $2. It's quick to set up, and every contribution makes a significant impact.
By supporting The Moscow Times, you're defending open, independent journalism in the face of repression. Thank you for standing with us.
