A resident of the Siberian city of Novosibirsk has won 350 million rubles ($4.6 million) — Russia's biggest-ever lottery prize, the state-run lottery Gosloto said in a statement Monday.
The name of the lucky winner is unknown because he has yet to claim the prize, Yulia Gavrishova, a spokeswoman for Stoloto, the distributor of state lotteries in Russia, told government daily Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
The man bought his lucky ticket in a Novosibirsk retail outlet.
The ticket cost 1,800 rubles ($23.8).The six lucky numbers were 11, 13, 45, 42, 1 and 7, according to the statement.
The previous lottery prize record was set by a resident of Nizhny Novgorod, who won 202 million rubles ($2.6 million) in 2014, according to Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
