Dynamo Moscow Snatches Last-Gasp Win Over PSV in Europa League

Dynamo Moscow's Aleksandr Kokorin (2nd L) reacts after teammate Yuri Zhirkov scored a goal during their Europa League Group E football match against PSV Eindhoven at the Arena Khimki outside Moscow.

Dynamo Moscow bagged all three points from its Europa league fixture against Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on Thursday night, with an extra-time goal that leaves the Russian-side sitting atop Group E.

Substitute Yuri Zhukov scored the only goal of the game in the 93rd minute, after defenders Christopher Samba and Douglas had earlier gone close for the hosts.

Elsewhere, Portugal's Estoril Praia recorded a 2-0 win over Greece's Panathinaikos that leaves the side third in the group behind Dynamo and PSV.

In Group H, British side Everton snatched a barely deserved point in their game against FC Krasnodar, after former Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto'o scrambled in an 82nd-minute equalizer upon his return to Russia.

Krasnodar had dominated the game over the first 80 minutes, forward Ferreira Ari capitalizing on a Phil Jagielka error to lift the ball over onrushing Everton keeper Tim Howard just before half-time.

Dynamo will now face Estoril Praia in their next Europa league match on Oct. 23, looking to continue an unbeaten run in the competition that stretches back seven games.

FC Krasnodar, which sits second in Group H behind Everton and above France's Lille, will take on face last-placed VfL Wolfsburg on the same evening.
