New Yorker Editor Joins NBC Olympic Coverage

NEW YORK — New Yorker editor David Remnick will contribute to NBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

The network said Monday that Remnick would take part in its broadcast of the opening ceremony and  provide commentary for NBC News.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning author and sports enthusiast is a former Moscow bureau chief for The Washington Post.

The opening ceremony is Feb. 7.
