Tickets for the first Russian Paralympic Winter Games will go on sale Sept. 27, the Sochi 2014 organizing committee said Wednesday.
The committee said March 7-16 games, which will follow the Winter Olympics, would bring together 1,650 paralympic athletes and team members from 45 countries.
The games "will provide a unique opportunity to see the world's elite paralympic athletes," it said in an e-mailed statement.
A record 72 sets of medals will be handed out, including in snowboarding and four other sports that will be played for the first time.
The committee did not provide ticket prices. Tickets to the regular games were sold out long ago.
