Budget airline Easyjet has announced the launch of ticket sales for its new London to Moscow route.
Customers can buy one-way tickets from London's Gatwick Airport to Moscow's Domodedovo from £47.49 (about $76) starting Wednesday, the airline said Tuesday.
Daily flights between the two cities are set to begin March 18, and increase to twice daily from April 15.
Easyjet's British director Paul Simmons said he expects about a quarter of a million passengers to fly the route in the first year of operation.
"Flights between Manchester and Moscow went on sale last month and have exceeded our expectations in terms of demand and we expect London to perform at least as well," he said in comments on the company website.
The Manchester to Domodedovo route is also set to start in March.
