Four thrill-seekers who went missing with their snowmobiles overnight in Siberian mountains were found Sunday by a group of volunteer rescue workers.
The adventurers from Krasnoyarsk set out on snowmobiles from the village of Priiskovy in the Khakasia republic at about 2 p.m. Saturday but never returned.
Their relatives raised the alarm early Sunday, and emergency officials and police sent out rescue teams and Mi-8 helicopter as part of the search efforts.
In the end, a group of locals found the missing quartet, who were "alive but thoroughly frozen," the local branch of the Emergency Situations Ministry said in a statement on its website.
"One of the men needed medical attention," the statement said, adding that the adventurers were found in different locations far from the village of Priiskovy and without their snowmobiles.
In total, 63 emergency workers, policemen and locals took part in the rescue operation.
