Romanian prosecutors said Friday that a 42-year-old Russian had been stopped at Bucharest's Henri Coanda Airport on Oct. 19 with classified documents and maps related to the Moldova Noua copper and precious-metal mine.
In a statement, they said managers of state mining company SC Ipromin allegedly divulged the documents. Authorities are investigating the authenticity and the level of classification of the documents related to the mine, located near Romania's border with Serbia.
