Belarus Arrests 'Spies'

MINSK — Belarus' KGB said it has arrested an undisclosed number of Belarussian nationals accused of spying on behalf of neighboring Lithuania.

The suspects have already confessed to trying to obtain defense and security information about Belarus and Russia, it said late last week.

Lithuanian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mindaugas Lasas said the allegations were "not true," RIA-Novosti reported.
