Kaliningrad Mother of '7 Billionth Child' Sick With Cancer

The Kaliningrad mother of a child declared to be the seven-billionth person in the world has been diagnosed with breast cancer, RIA-Novosti reported.

Yelena Nikolayeva became known to the world after giving birth on October 31 and was visited by Vladimir Putin.

Nikolayeva’s family has appealed for help getting her treatment abroad, telling RIA-Novosti that she needs about $50,000 for surgery.
