Cash Flows to Ukraine Voters

KIEV — Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has announced $2 billion worth of pension increases and other handouts as his party prepares for tough parliamentary elections in October.

Together, the outlays will cost the state 16 billion hryvnas ($2 billion) this year alone, but Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Tigipko told Interfax that the finance ministry "has enough funds for this."
