Minudobrenia, the fertilizer producer known as Rossosh acquired in July by Arkady Rotenberg for $1 billion, will add 500,000 tons of urea production capacity and may boost ammonia output by 50 percent to 1.5 million tons, Rotenberg's press office said Monday, without giving a time frame.
Rossosh sold 1.12 million tons of complex fertilizers last year and reported revenue of 18.9 billion rubles ($581 million), according to the company's web site.
UralChem agreed on a $400 million, eight-year loan from Sberbank to help repay debt, according to a regulatory filing Monday. Acron said its North Atlantic Potash unit agreed to sell eight of its potash licenses in Canada to China's Yankuang Group for $110 million.
