Father Slays Son's Suspected Killer Outside Courthouse

A bereaved father took justice into his own hands outside of a Moscow region courthouse Tuesday, killing the man suspected of murdering his son two years ago, the Investigative Committee said.

The 54-year-old father fired at least three rounds from a hunting rifle into the 29-year-old suspect's head as he was leaving a courthouse after a hearing in the town of Orekhovo-Zuyevo, the committee said in a statement on its web site.

The gunman was detained immediately, and an investigation has been opened.

Relatives of the slain man have promised to retaliate, Business FM radio reported.
