MTS Chooses Oracle

Oracle, in partnership with Sitronix, has reached an agreement with Mobile TeleSystems for the provision of a wide variety of business applications to the cellular provider, MTS announced Wednesday.

"The partnership will enable MTS Group to organize a large number of individual procurements and tenders and consolidate IT resources and budgets in all countries where it is present," MTS vice president for IT Frederic Vanoosthuyze said.

The Oracle package for MTS includes Oracle Database 11g with security applications, Oracle Fusion Middleware with integration architecture and Oracle business applications for resource planning, customer relations and business efficiency and analysis.
