Russia Rides to U.K.'s Rescue

LAUSANNE, Switzerland — Russia will host a gathering of Olympics leaders from 200 countries next year after Britain pulled out because of financial problems.

The Association of National Olympic Committees said Tuesday that its biannual assembly will be held in Moscow from April 10 to 18. In a statement, the association thanked the Russian Olympic Committee for "enthusiastic support and strong collaboration."
