Troika Dialog appointed Igor Sagiryan to run its investment banking business a month after his predecessor Andrei Sharonov was hired as deputy mayor in the capital.
Harvard-educated Sagiryan, who joined from rival Renaissance Capital in June 2009, takes up his new role immediately, according to Troika.
Sagiryan will be responsible for overseeing capital raising for equity and debt markets, as well as advising clients on mergers and acquisitions.
Catherine Thibaut, managing director at Troika Dialog, will replace Sagiryan as head of the private client unit, according to the statement.
