Gazprom Jet Breaks Wing

A passenger airplane operated by Gazprom’s airline broke a wing during a landing near the Arctic Circle, officials said.

The Gazpromavia Yak-42 slid off the runway at the airport in Novy Urengoi after the brakes failed late Monday, the regional division of the Prosecutor General’s Office said on its web site. All 96 passengers on board survived without injury.
