Ship Sinks Near Kerch

A Russian sailor died after a cargo vessel with a 13-person crew sank in the Kerch Strait between the Black and Azov seas on Monday, Ukrainian officials said, adding that nine people have been rescued.

The Vasiliy, operating under a Mongolian flag, was loaded with scrap metal.

The crew comprised 10 Russians and three Ukrainians.

The search was continuing for the missing crew members Monday afternoon.
