YouTube Ban Lifted

The Khabarovsk Regional Court has canceled a lower court’s decision to ban access to YouTube and several other web sites accused by prosecutors of hosting extremist content, RIA-Novosti reported.

The ban, introduced in July, ordered a local Internet service provider to block YouTube for hosting a nationalist video and several online libraries for Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf.”

But the new decision, passed Friday, limited the ban to particular pages of the web sites that host extremist materials, allowing access to the rest of their content, the report said.
