Inflation to Exceed Forecast

Inflation will exceed forecasts this year, Deputy Economic Development Minister Andrei Klepach said Tuesday.

“We won’t meet a forecast of 6 percent to 7 percent,” Klepach told reporters. “But we think the inflation rate will be lower than last year’s level.”

Consumer prices will probably advance at least 0.5 percent in August, Klepach said.
