The Federal Tax Service said Tuesday that first-half collection climbed 39 percent from the same period last year to 1.56 trillion rubles ($51.5 billion).
Taxes on mineral extraction accounted for 43 percent of the total, while value-added taxes made up 42 percent, the service said on its web site. The sum does not include customs duties such as those imposed on oil exports, the biggest single source of government revenue.
