DAMASCUS () -- Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri has decided to abandon his resignation attempt and will resume his work following talks with Syrian President Hafez al-Assad, officials said Monday.
The officials said Hariri and his main rival, parliament speaker Nabih Berri, told Assad they were going to put aside their differences over Lebanon's post-war reconstruction.
