Highest-Paid Chicago Bull: Toni Kukoc

TORONTO -- Toni Kukoc has agreed to a six-year deal with the Chicago Bulls that will pay him $26 million and make him the highest-paid player in the team's history -- topping even Michael Jordan.

Reached in Toronto, where he was playing for Croatia at the World Championships, Kukoc said Friday he has not signed the contract, but that all parties had agreed in principle.

As a rookie last season Kukoc averaged 10.9 points, 3.4 assists and four rebounds. The 25-year old Croatian started just eight games last season but averaged 24 minutes a game.

Robert Parish's heart may still be in Boston, but the rest of his 40-year-old body likes his expected role with Charlotte. "Coming off the bench behind a fine young center like Alonzo Mourning fits my style," said the 7-foot-1/2-inch Parish, the National Basketball Association's oldest player, who Thursday signed a multi-year contract with the Hornets.

In his last season with the Celtics, Parish averaged nearly 27 minutes a game, 7.3 rebounds and 11.7 points. He foresees himself playing about 10 to 15 minutes a night for the Hornets.
