EU Cars: Buy in Italy

BRUSSELS -- New car prices across the European Union's single market vary by up to 55 percent for some models, with Italy having the cheapest ones and Austria the dearest, the European Commission said Monday.


Price differences have soared in recent months, calling into question the idea that the 15-country bloc's single market would bring prices for cars and other goods closer together.
