Estonia Set to Follow Sweden to EU

TALLINN -- Estonian Prime Minister Andres Tarrand said Tuesday votes by Sweden and Finland to join the European Union had opened the way for his state to follow suit.


"After the positive decision of Sweden and Finland ... on joining the EU we can say our two neighbours on the Baltic Sea have paved the road to Europe also for Estonia," he told a news conference.
