MOSCOW (X) -- Two defense industry executives have been arrested for paying millions of rubles in bribes to a state official to speed up the privatization of their enterprises, news reports said Wednesday.
The newspaper Segodnya said State Property Committee official Vladimir Mashevsky took 9 million rubles ($3,200) to hasten the privatization of several defense enterprises in the Tyumen region of Siberia.
