Offer Made to Red Wings Customers

Ural Airlines announced it will accept tickets of passengers of Red Wings Airlines following that company's cessation of service Monday.

Red Wings owner Alexander Lebedev said the carrier's license had been suspended by the Federal Air Transportation Agency.

Ural Airlines is offering to exchange Red Wings tickets for Ural Airlines tickets without any penalties or surcharges. The offer includes popular routes connecting Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk and Ufa, Interfax said.

Red Wings Airline's license was suspended due to numerous flight and technical safety violations. On Dec. 29, one of its Tu-204 planes crash-landed at Vnukovo Airport, killing five and injuring three crew members.

Red Wings had sold more than 15,000 tickets for regular flights as late as October.
