Moscow Metro Through The Ages
The first line of the Moscow metropolitan railway opened on May 15, 1935. Although such a project was discussed as early as 1875, the metro's first 11.2-kilometer stretch from Park Kultury to Sokolniki ?€” pictured here before its opening ?€” was not completed for another 60 years.
