Memorial to Paris Terror Victims at French Embassy in Moscow
Muscovites gathered outside the French Embassy to extend condolences over the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday. Flowers, candles and icons were brought to the embassy from midnight, Friday night. Signs in Russian, English and French express support and solidarity: "Je Suis Paris," "Pray for France," and "Stop the War."?
Almost 130 people were killed in the French capital as a result of a series of co-ordinated gun and bomb attacks. There are 352 people wounded, 99 of whom are in a critical condition, the BBC news agency reported Sunday.?
On Saturday, Putin extended his condolences to the people of France in his official message to Hollande, and confirmed that Russia was ready to assist France in investigating the crime committed against peaceful citizens in Paris.
