Belarus Reporter Threatened

MINSK — An investigative journalist in Belarus said Wednesday that she has received anonymous threats linked to an article in Novaya Gazeta about the disputed legacy of late Georgian billionaire Badri Patarkatsishvili.

Irina Khalip said she has received the threats by e-mail, telephone and in a telegram and believes that the Belarussian KGB was involved in the threats.

The KGB refused to comment on her claim.
