In Photos: Russia Marks 80 Years Since Soviet WWII Victory With Grandiose Military Parade

Russia marked 80 years since the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in World War II on Friday with a large military parade on Red Square.

Joined by over two dozen foreign leaders, President Vladimir Putin oversaw the parade of over 11,000 Russian soldiers and members of the security services. Another 1,500 servicemen who fought in the invasion of Ukraine made an appearance. Servicemen from “friendly nations” also took part in the event.
