LUKoil said Wednesday that it may complete the building of a crude distillation unit at its Ukhta refinery by the beginning of next year.
The unit will be able to process 3.5 million metric tons a year, or 70,000 barrels a day, of oil, a spokesman said by phone from Moscow, declining to be named in line with company policy.
Distillation units process crude into fuels including gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
