A light show dedicated to the Battle of Moscow will be projected on
the facade of the building on 13 Mokhovaya St. on 7-9 May from 9 to 11 p.m.
This cultural project was initiated by Sistema PJSFC. The 10-minute animated
film in the format of video mapping will show the events of the beginning of
the Great Patriotic War from Nazi Germany’s invasion of the Soviet Union and a
state of siege in Moscow to the defeat of German forces at Moscow’s defence
line followed by the Red Army’s counter-offensive. The history of the Battle of
Moscow will be shown through recognisable visuals with a focus on the bravery
of individual soldiers and their stories. A series of projections with a single
storyline will be best viewed from Manezhnaya Square. “We organise these projections
for the Victory Day for the second year in a row in order to preserve the
historical memory of the great bravery of the Russian people. This is a tribute
to both fallen and living defenders of the city, and to all veterans,” said Sergey Boev, Sistema PJSFC Deputy Chairman of the
Board, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the charity fund “Sistema”.
