The daughter of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko expects her mother to be freed very soon, The New York Times reported on Thursday.
“All the signals indicate that before the 20th something should happen,” Yevhenia Carr said.
Tymoshenko was sentenced to seven years in prison on Tuesday for abuse of office in connection with a 2009 gas deal she brokered with Russia.
The conviction drew worldwide condemnation and accusations that President Viktor Yanukovych was carrying out a vendetta against his main political rival.
