Mercedes With Migalka Rams BMW

A Mercedes S600 thought to belong to Krasnodar Governor Alexander Tkachyov rammed a BMW sedan on Moscow's Tverskaya Ulitsa when running a red light late Tuesday, GZT.ru reported Wednesday, citing a police source.

No injuries were reported in the crash, the latest in a series of traffic incidents involving cars equipped with flashing blue lights, or migalki, which authorize their users to ignore traffic rules.

Moscow police denied the accident, Interfax reported, but several LiveJournal bloggers witnessed the crash and posted photos on their blogs.

Witnesses disagreed on whether Tkachyov was riding in the car. His representatives denied that he owns a Mercedes and said he was in Rostov-on-Don on Tuesday.
