Medvedev in Twitter Record

President Dmitry Medvedev became the first Russian user of the Twitter microblogging service to score more than 100,000 subscribers, or “followers,” RIA-Novosti said Monday.

Medvedev’s Twitter account was created during his visit to the company’s headquarters in California last summer. The president, who also runs a video blog and a LiveJournal account, follows nine Twitter blogs himself, including those of U.S. President Barack Obama and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
