TBILISI, Georgia — Iran’s Foreign Ministry said it has reached an agreement with Georgia to mutually cancel visa requirements.
Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said at a briefing Saturday in Tbilisi that visa-free travel between the two countries would begin in September.
Mehmanparast said Iran was also considering setting up consulates in Georgian cities outside Tbilisi as well as creating an intergovernmental commission to improve economic ties between the two nations.
