Drunken Policeman Goes on Shooting Spree in Ivanovo Bar

A police captain was detained early Thursday morning in Ivanovo, about 300 kilometers northeast of Moscow, after opening fire from an air gun in a local bar while highly intoxicated.

The man was detained in Ivanovo and taken to a local police station at around 4:15 a.m., Interfax reported, citing Moscow region police.

Regional police said that no one was injured in the incident but that the policeman will be fired.

His direct superiors may also face disciplinary action after an investigation is conducted.
