While the snow may be gone, temperatures will be cooler than normal this week in Moscow, and there's even a chance that frost will form at night, weather forecasters said Monday.
The temperature will average 2 degrees Celsius lower than normal throughout central Russia for most of the week, with the possibility of rain or sleet in some districts at night. Daytime highs are expected to reach 12 to 15 degrees Celsius and slide to minus 1 to 3 degrees Celsius at night.
Just as Muscovites start to relish in warmer weather, forecasters predict a chill.
In Moscow, the coldest weather is expected on Monday night, when the temperature could fall to minus 2 degrees Celsius. But it will rise to 10 degrees Celsius by Tuesday afternoon and remain around that level until Friday, forecasters said.
Rain is forecast for Friday and all weekend, while the temperature is forecast to return to normal for this time of the year: 11 to 16 degrees Celsius during the day and 5 to 6 degrees Celsius at night.
And next week, with clearer skies, Muscovites will be able to leave their umbrellas at home and enjoy slightly warmer temperatures, which may reach 23 degrees Celsius next Wednesday.?
