TNK-BP Expats Plan to Stay

TNK-BP's foreign top executives expect to remain at the company after it is bought out by Rosneft, TNK-BP chief financial officer Jonathan Muir said, Interfax reported Tuesday.

Muir said that he is unaware of a long line of people leaving TNK-BP to go to Rosneft and that he would not consider such a move to be reasonable. Muir confirmed that TNK-BP executive vice president Alexander Dodds had announced his resignation, effective Nov. 1.

TNK-BP also said Tuesday that its net profit rose 53 percent in the third quarter to $2.73 billion, mostly due to a drop in customs duties.
