Road Rage Incident Turns Violent in Downtown

Sergei Porter / Vedomosti

A man driving a Porsche Cayenne and a female driver took up non-lethal weapons against each other after they got into a road rage incident in the center of Moscow on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reported.

The fight broke out at a crossroads when the drivers began arguing over who had the right of way, the report said, citing local police.

After arguing heatedly, "the girl set off a pepper spray in the direction of the aggressive driver and tried to leave the scene, but the man fired at his fleeing opponent with a traumatic pistol," the report said.

The Porsche driver was apprehended afterward, RIA cited police as saying, adding that law enforcement authorities would investigate the grounds on which self-defense weapons were deployed.
