Nord Stream Pipe Tender

Nord Stream said Friday that it awarded Russia’s OMK, Japan’s Sumitomo and Germany’s Europipe a contract worth 1 billion euros ($1.42 billion) to supply pipes for the second link of the Baltic gas pipeline.

The consortium said Europipe was awarded 65 percent of the tender. OMK got 25 percent, and Sumitomo 10 percent of the contract to supply 1 million metric tons of steel pipe.
